ROOME

1st Shoot

Helix took a trip to old foggy London town to a seriously quiet SOHO… that being one day before entering a second ruddy lockdown.  -Eye Roll-

My stylist for the day and Chloe and I stood with Laura from Roome on the steps of the awesome Blacks Club on a chilly but sunny morning. On entering the building I was instantly filled with nostalgia from a house my Dad grew up in Clapham, stairs going up and up and dark, moody rooms full of curiosities and stunning contemporary artworks on every wall.

We set up quickly only having two hours to shoot before members started coming in for lunch. We worked really well together and the light was perfect… had it been the gloomy rainy day before. Being a natural light photographer has its limitations sometimes however the lighting here was gentle and bright which presented the art form in its most natural form. Venue: @blacksclub

2nd Shoot

Working for the wonderful Roome London again photographing this beautiful jewellery ‘Lennox’ box (shown here).

Laura from Roome asked if I could photograph images for Gifs… I’d never made a gif before so taught myself an afternoon. (A little late to the party but hey)!  To get the look of the box opening a closing on its own I used a very fine thread and retouched it out in post. Ta-dah!
